Dog
The dog continues to re-carpet our apartment with various kinds of bodily fluids. There’s nothing quite as wonderful as the smell of dog piss eminating from every corner. I’m sure the supermarket thought we lived in a sewer when we bought so many air freshening products last week.
Over the last 24 hours she has been fairly good, so hopefully this is her way of giving us a bit of a Christmas present.

Queen Vic
Victoria, as always, was marvellous. Weather was favourable, with the rain almost always coming at night, and the temperature never really dropped too much. The food was fabulous wherever we chose to dine, a choice made very difficult by the sheer number of eateries available. Our only complaint in that area would be the drink, which was often very weak. Many a night we could spend 8 hours drinking and not really feel like we’d drank that much.
The hotel, which I’ve stayed in before, was great too. Really quiet for the most part (much like Victoria itself, which was completely dead for the first half of the break) and we lucked into getting a two bedroom suite when I had only booked a one bedroom version. It was ridiculously sized, much larger than our apartment here.
The bill at the end of it all was almost £2,500 (including flights, hotel and all the money we spent there) - but if I could I’d go do it all again tomorrow.
